Please note that advertisements or solicitations of ANY kind are not allowed unless given express permission to do so by management of HomeTheaterSPot.Com, Inc. Members may post their personal equipment for sale but only in the Yard Sale SPoT, which is only available for the Paid Membership to post. Please see the rules and disclaimers in that area. Chain letters, pyramid schemes, Coupon Schemes, referrals to other Forums of a similar nature (to promote those forums) and other types of solicitations are inappropriate on HomeTheaterSPot.Com, Inc and this forum. While some referrals to other forums or sites are allowed for the purposes crediting a source, we reserve the right to suspend a membership if we feel such referrals are only being done to promote other forums in an attempt to damage this forum or to simply avoid the posting of information or answering a question that was put forth on this forum. (At the very least this is just considered to be rude in nature to do so.)

Discussions or inducements for members to purchase from Dealers and Merchants, either Authorized or Unauthorized are also frowned upon, since the validity of such dealers and the person or persons making the referral can not be determined. Sponsors of this forum are the only exception. Calibrators must also get permission to post their services on HomeTheaterSPot.Com and agree to our advertising and referral schedule in advance.

Any abuses of these rules may subject your post to being edited or deleted at our discretion without warning or explanation and membership can be subject to revocation.
Please also note that the use of the HomeTheaterSPot.Com, Inc. Private Messaging Service or Email Systems associated with HomeTheaterSpot.Com are not Private in the sense that it is a message or Email seen only by the sender and receiver. While the message is private from the rest of the members, the administration of HomeTheaterSPot.Com, Inc. can see them. All rules that apply to posting on the Forum ALSO apply to the use of our Private Messaging/Email System and violators will have their posting privileges subject to the same revocations as on the Forum in general. Posting privileges if we feel need to be revoked may be done with no prior warning and are not subject to redress. We have spent too long on too many occasions, going round and round on why we have these rules and why they are necessary with people. More often than not the offender when given a second chance only repeats the violation and we must revoke privileges again. Thus wasting more time in the process. If you have any questions about something possibly being a violation ask the Administration FIRST if it is OK to post it. This way you won't be unpleasantly surprised when you come back not have access any longer.

Rules are subject to change without notice and you agree to abide by any future changes in rules should they occur.
